主讲人：Professor Jier Huang
Professor Huang received her B.S. degree in Chemistry from Lanzhou University (China) in 2001, an M.S. degree in Analytical Chemistry from Lanzhou in 2004, and her Ph.D. degree from Emory University in 2010. Her interests in biomimetic photosynthetic and photovoltaic materials led her to postdoctoral research at Argonne National Laboratory. She started her independent career at Marquette as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2013.
Professor Huang’s research focuses on understanding the photophysical and photochemical processes in hybrid materials related to solar energy conversion and catalysis on different temporal and spatial scales using ultrafast optical and X-ray absorption spectroscopy as well as in situ spectroscopic methods. She has received the University's Way Klingler Young Scholar Award and NSF Career Award for Distinguished Achievement in Research and Teaching. In this talk, she will discuss their recent progress in developing ZIFs as intrinsic heterogenous catalysts for light-driven H2 generation.
